Búðardalur

Búðardalur is a small village on Hvammsfjörður in the Dalir district, deep in saga country — this is where Erik the Red farmed before sailing to Greenland, and a reconstruction of his longhouse stands nearby. Very few tourists come this way, so the fjord and valleys feel entirely your own.
